Default valve cover bolt

hey, im kinda new to this, im having a problem...... yesterday i was installing new valve covers and on the top middle passenger side i snapped the bolt. ive ben trying to to use easy outs and what not and it hasnt worked i keep drilling deeper to get a bigger easy out to work and the hole is getting wider as well. so now im almost as deep as i can go, so my question is can i just tighten the other five and and get a bigger bolt and just try to get it to start to make it tight, or just use five bolts and put some sealer on it any help would be greatly appriciated!

Is the hole you are drilling lined up with the bolt hole in the cover? If it is you can get what is called a heli-coil and put new threads in that hole the original size.

get a bigger drill bit and drill it out the best you can then get heli-coil and replace the threads. that would probably be your best bet. i wouldnt use sealer it would be more of a cobble job.

well, i went and got a heli coil drilled it out to the right size and went to use the tap, i hit the tap once (not even hard) and the bottom of the hole broke off where the screw would go, so i have like a half circle, instead of the hole being apart from the valve terrain that divider is gone....... so i kinda screwed myself.... im hoping since its the top middle bolt maybe ill get lucky and it wont leak too bad until i get it fixed does any one know how bad itd leak, and the proper way to fix it? im guna try and get a small bolt that will fit the hole so it will be snug and hopefully stop some of the oil
