I was looking at another mustang and the guy is saying the car makes 400 rwhp. Its a 90 gt with a stock bottom end afr 165cc heads eldebrock intake custom grind cam. He had the work done at a shop and thats what they told him. I was thinking 400hp at the crank? I have not been arround mustangs that mutch I know I am missing alot of info on this build but what would you guess you could make power wise with afr 165cc head. The car has only 55,000 miles on it.

that is way wrong it prolly makes around 300 ish at the wheels does it have a tune?

Yes it was tuned on their dyno I guess. I am emailing back and forth with this guy. All he really has is a list of parts he just droped it off at a shop and they put it together. The car seems like it would be a clean weekend car. I would just put a 100 wet kit on it.

if he has dyno tune paper ask for him to email rwhp proof!!! without knowing the whole list of specs on the car..with a tune 300 rwhp is a safe guesstament

ive seen 400 hp 302's but with just a stock bottom end n/a with just h/c/i id say 300. possible 325 with a good tune

it takes HCI + some port work and power adder to see 400hp

300 is a good assumption. don't pay any respect to a dyno sheet....who knows where it came from

oh wait...the car never was never even there, it was a 2 year old dodge neon....my vin plugged in, the neon w/ the sniffer in it.

Yeah, no way it's at 400rwhp with 165's, cam and stock bottom end. You could get 400rwhp from AFR 165's if you really tried, but you'd have to run a large cam/intake and turn some pretty high rpm, which would be a complete waste on a stock bottom end and heads that small(in other words, a 400rwhp n/a 302 would most likely be a large headed high rpm street/strip or race engine). 300rwhp with a decent tune is well within the realistic range for a setup like that.

I think if anything he was lied to by the shop. I went to their shop website and it looks pretty nice lots of big hp number cars on their site. So maybe the thought they had a sucker. Even if its a 300rwhp car it still looks clean so Now I just have to see what he will take for it.
