SN95 questions

RE: SN95 questions
The question is how fast do you want it and how much do you want to spend?
the whole top of the motor needs to go h/c/i tb headers steeda 19 if you dont want to fight idle woes.
I used gt40p there cool but get a set of nice alum heads way better.
gears and lose the 4 chamber cats either high flow cats or none at all.
The single best thing I purchased for mine was the epec programmer you can use a different programmer but make sure you get something you can tune with! without the epec stock tune 14.50 I dropped it to 14.20 with firsttune then a 13.97 with the second tune.Ive done a whole lot more since then and its nice to be able to change the pc when I add more mods.
Anyway have fun with it!

Cool, I'm not really looking to make a lot of power, just enough to not be embarrased by turbo 4's(SRT-4's, EVO's, WRX's, etc...) If I come anywhere near the power of a stock Termi I'll be more than happy. I picked this car up for a hell of a deal. I wasn't planning on buyingaMustang unless if it was another Cobra but I couldn't pass this one up.I have my Suby if I want to make power and go fast. What kinda of power could I expect by doing the H/C/I with stock bottom end?

man you have an auto vert..... you will be lucky to beat alot of NA 4 bangers now a days(civic si, rsx-s etc)
A good HCI swap will get you around the 300 rwhp mark

RE: SN95 questions
300rwhp? ****, I'll be happy with that for the mean time. That's more than enough to to have fun in. I will be doing a T-5 swap though as soon as I have the time. I just want to get all the small stuff out of the way before I go for the turbo, which I already have and is waiting to be installed. Once I get where I want with bolt ons I'll leave it that way for a little while until I find the internals I want to go with. Thanks for all the help guys, I don't know a whole lot about 5.0's just what I've heard from friends saying they're easy to moddify and that they take boost pretty well.

h/c/i and a turbo will produce enough power to split the stock block in half.

Gears are probably one of the best bang-for-your-buck parts. You say you will switch to a T-5 but most people say 4.10s for an auto, minimum. For a manual 3.73s and 4.10s are popular. Your stock gears are either 2.73 or 3.08s so you will notice a huge difference by going to a steeper rear end gear.

RE: SN95 questions
alot of people will tell you to do heads, cam and intake to make much more power but most will not tell you how to put that power to the ground. one of the best bang for buck mods is lower control arms (lift bars). they will utilize axle torque to plant the tires firmly into the pavement eliminating wheel hop and tire spin and drastically improving your 60ft times.
$200 well spent IMO.

RE: SN95 questions
If you know your doing a turbo and dont want to build an aftermarket block i wouldnt bother with any top dollar hci id just throw a steeda 19 and gt40s and intake that and a turbo will max out ya block easy. Gears are ya best bang for the buck, other than that its nitrous and heads are good returns in power for the money u spend.
