I have tested the wires for my fuel system doing it with ignition off and on(within 3 seconds)

Fuel cut off switch
red-power ignition on
red/bl-powerignition on

fuel pump harness
yellow-power ignition on
pink/bl-no power ignition on/and off

fuel pump relay
green/yellow-power on ignition on/and off
tan- power on ignition on only
red/bl- power on ignition on only
pink/bl-no powere ignition on/and off

What is the problem with the pink/bl wire it is the wire that gives the pump power?

Do you have another Stang or a friend who does that you can test their's

The only other person that is close is a 2000 v6
I replaced the relay also.

what would happen if I ran new power wire to the pump from my extra fuse box?

All you have to do is ID the FP trigger terminal at the VIP connector, install a jumper to ground and turn the IGN ON..... that way you are activating the relay manually and should be able to trace if it's a FP wiring or pump issue........ or a relay control problem from the computer.

I'm sorry Joe but that sort of went over my head. the fuel pump is a new walbro 255 and I bench tested it in a bucket full of fuel it works. The relay is also new. All wires have power but the Pink and Black.I ran a hot to the pump and It came on while in the car but I don't want to getto rig it if it can be fixxed simply. So Joe can you explain that again please.

If you connect a wire to the terminal labeled "FP Trigger" following the diagram of the VIP connector above...... you will provide the ground pulse to turn the relay on. The relay and pump could be brand new, but if the ground pulse from the computer to activate the relay is missing (you are supplying that ground with the jumper wire)........ there will not be power to the FP.

Ok I just got off work so Im going to go to sleep then try this when I get up this afternoon.I'll post up the results and see what you think this could be.

Ok so my battery died so I will charge it and test here in an hour. When I ground the FP Trigger it should come on correct.If it doesn't come on what does this mean?

I just jumped the pump while it is in the car and it kicked on but the pink/black wire going to it doesn't have power.

ok Joe I just jumped th FP Trigger and nothing happened. So what do I need to do to get her going again.
