Help me make a list for t-top conversion on a fox mustang.
i did a t-top conversion on my 98 firebird and soon my 97 camaro.
and i wanna do one on my 87 fox (that currently has a sun-roof).
someone said i should cut the roof off a t-top car which i can find at a junkyard probably.
i then noticed that a t-top car doesnt have a metal trim at the top of the doors.
so i need the doors of a t-top or convertible car.
so heres my list so far:
2 t-tops
roof or custom made center piece.
weatherstripping
2 doors off a t-top/convertble car
also, has anyone ever did it? on or off this board?

Just Kidding......Best of luck to you, I have never heard of an aftermarket T-Top job that didn't leak. My '86 Mustang had factory T-Tops......and they used to leak all the time!!

Why the hell would you want that.... t-tops are the ugliest cars, they almost look incomplete

one day bored looking through fox mustangs on car domain i found somebody did this on a 1989 a non production year for t-top cars look through all the pages tofine it.I think he started with a regular lx and choped the roof off of a 86 to do so... but honestly just sell your car and get a t-top car if you want it that badly its going to be even harder to complete i would imagine since the car has a sun roof already? good luck if you go that route though

the foxes that dont have sun-roofs... do they have a middle piece in the center? cuz i know on 93-02 camaros and firebirds..they are made as t-top cars and then the non-t-top ones have 2 outter pieces welded on and a roof layed on it. i cut my roof off of my firebird and the whole t-top outline is there already. all i had to do was cut off the outter edges of metal and put on the weatherstripping and brackets. not much modification.

welding the top of a t-top fox should be too hard.sounds pretty easy actually. i know how to weld so it aint no big thing to me.
i can get the doors and tops at a junkyard

hey hey now, i love my t-top stang =/

but yeah they do leak a little, nothing bad though, cause it doesnt rain a whole lot, or if it is... im not driving my mustang.

other than that i think they look great.

heres another question. do i really have to swap doors? is the metal trim removable. i'm guessing the window glass is just bigger..so can i swap a bigger window in my stock door?
