Car won't start after installing headers
After installing my shorty headers my car will not run. When I try to start it, it will turn over but wont crank up unless i pump the gas, once it cranks I have to continue giving it gas and I can only get it to about 400-500 rpms! And it sounds awful like it just wants to give up and die. Please help, my car is suppose to go to the body shop for some repairs later on, I really need my car to run. Does anyone have any idea what it could be. Since my car will not let me get over precisely 400-500 rpms I figured it was probabaly a sensor or somthing but I have no clue.

RE: Car won't start after installing headers
I had a similar problem shortly after I installed my headers. What happened is One of my plug wires had been burned by the headers and it was grounding out badly. It still started and ran, just ran like crap. If that's not it I would check for spark and fuel. maybe when you were in there you bumped the coil or distrubutor wires loose. It's probably something simple.

Sounds like you have dislodged a vacuum line search all hose's brake booster, manifold, etc... Also check all wiring harness's to see if you had disconected something in that area. O2 sensors etc....

I figured your problem out, you crossed your plug wires, very common
