Its going to be wider than stock maybe 1/2 to an inch bigger for starters. Plus you need to upgrade you brake system now. (Proportioning valve, Prop valve delete, MS, etc)

im not sure about the conrol arms too (if they match in postion). You better keep asking. I wouldnt want mywheels to stick out any further than they have to.

I think im the only peron in this thread that knows that the 05+ stangs run a 3 link rear, and do not have the proper bushings, or case, to be used in a 3 link system.

If you want to run a 05+ rear, you better start looking into a panhard bar and torque arm setup ($3500)

I'm pretty sure the 05+ have a different suspension setup in the back that will take some extra work (like Adder mentioned) to perform properly. The easiest would be to get something from 04 or earlier as Ford didn't change the rear suspension much between the Fox and sn95/New Edges.

i picked up the rear end last night and actually it wasnt off a 2005 mustang its actually off a 89 lx it was converted with a 5 lug disc brakes...

see heres the thing i wanted to change just the gears but my a$$hole mechanic estimated from 600 to 900 parts and labor ...i thought thats way to fudgein much..so i seen this ad on craigslist i picked up the rear end with shocks and a hi flo h pipe with 2 cats. for $300.

i now have drum brakes on the rear ..and the used rear end i have has disk brakes will it require alot of work to bolt on the rear end and add brakelines????

you would just be swapping rear-ends, so just be unbloting upper and lower control arms, shocks, drive-shaft,brake linesetc.. Then putting the new one in and adding brake lines.

I woudnt have a mechanic do it, I would do it myself! It is really not that hard at all to change the rear on your fox. When I changed the rear in my 82 GT it only took me 3 hours with the other rear already sitting on the ground. AT most I would say 5 hours for a *trained Professional* to do it. The trickiest part I would say would to get the brake line off the t on the rear without breaking/stripping it. That and E brake Cables
