I am also concerned with the amount of threads sticking through the rocker arm. I want to know if I can install a shim either under the stud or guide plate? This is to raise the stud some to feel more comfortable about the amout of threads the rocker arm nut actual gets to grab a hold of. Last thing I want is to pull the threads off the stud or out of the nut.


they make various style studs, available at the machine shop with more threads.

MJR it is the TFS stage 2 cam...

AODE... The studs I have was sent tome from TFS when I had some repairs made. I am going to check on some ARP's tomorrow to see if the are longer.

that should run good! you gotta 331 right?? here is what I used on my afr heads ..ignore the fact they say they are chevy ones...they have the right shaft diameter and thread base if using 3/8 studs.....they are slightly longer than original ones that come with heads
