Default Replacing Head gasket question. Help!

well, Ive came to the conclusion that my head gaskets are bad. I left the car on for about 15 minutes in the garadge and came out to notice that there was a small trickle of oil on the ground like it was shooting out of the exhaust. on top of the white smoke, loss of power, and the smokey idles. this is what it is. agreed?

Well my question is im not going to put it into the shop. No way so dont try to convince me no money, so I am going to do it myself. Have any of you dont this before? I have dont tons of things with cars, but all 4cyl so im not familar with this, i usualy tear it apart and just do it. is this that same concept? should i be afraid to do it myself? is it possible?
Any advice? what about tutorials??

LMK any comment would be apreciated!

*sorry for the spelling*
Andrew

just mark dizzy before removal and clean all surfaces good and have heads checked for any cracks and torque all bolts back to proper spec and all will be good

are you loosing coolant?? and or does it overheat?? if it does neither of the two you might want to rethink that.. but if it does..go for it

Before you go tearing it apart, your explanation of why you think its a head gasket is pretty weak at best. You need to diagnose this thing better. Find the true leak first, and do a compression check. It could be as small a valve cover leak based of of you explanation.

do a compression test, if you havea bad HG, it will more than likely tell you. Also, drain your oil and see if there is coolant in it. Swapping head gaskets is not the most ambitious thing ever, but its not exactly changing a tire. If you can follow directions you shouldnt have a problem
