My harmonic balancer wobbles about a quarter inch back and forth as it spins when the cars on, due to a car wreck. Is it very possible for that to be making my car run like complete crap with no power?

dude even if thats not why your car is running like crap a quarter inch out of whack is definately not good .. it needs to be changed so id replace the balancer and go from there

Change out the balancer. If you don't you can harm the internals and if let go long enough you will snap the crank bolt off and then have to extract that out or replace the crank completly!

IF BALANCER WOBBLES it is bad and most likely has spun and harmonics are now an issue and if you messed with timing thinking it'd cure the problem..adjusting timing on a car with a spun balancer = timing way off now = car can run **** poor

Alrite guys that makes me feel alot better because I have a brand new one sitting beside me from summit and the shop is installing it monday. I was just seeing what you guys thought because I have tried EVERY obvious reason for my car running so slow and I want to get it running like it used to before I slap down 3 grand at the body shop. Hopefully if I get the balancer put on monday morning and that fixes the problem then my car will be in the body shop monday afternoon...woohoo...

and if it doesn't??? I reccommend finding or taking it to a shop to have it diagnosed

Areyour accessories all working well?? if there was an impact it could have effected the balancer bolt as well. check the torque on it if has backed off there could be your problem. also you could pop off your belts and just move it if there is movement but the crank is still then it is definitely the balancer. just go with the original plan.
