lol, i have to disagree since its a stock transmission. with a 347 and a 150 shot I broke 2 wc t-5's and a t-5z.
tko600 or at least a g-force t-5.

Yeah i think i'm gonna go with at least the tko 500. I wanna do it right the first time and not regret saving 600 dollars then blowing the tranny two years down the road. Hopefully the tremec is what it is carcked up to be

I have a related question. Is a Tremec 1352-000-251 and a Ford Racing T5Z the same transmission? The 251 is rated at 300 ft/lbs while the T5Z is rated at 330 ft/lbs, yet they have the same gear ratios, carbon fiber blocker rings, and Cobra pocket bearings. Are the Ford pieces a little bit stronger?

My tranny is going out. I'm gonna replace it real soon, but should i go with the World Class T-5 or the Tremec. I've heard some bad things about the Tremec, and nothing but good about the T-5.

To give an idea about my car since i don't have any info posted yet. It's an 86 gt with a 347 and 6 psi blower. Trick flow upper and lower, aluminum heads, msd ignition, 90 mm mass air, 75mm throttle body, 30lb injectors, and much much more.

So Tremec or T-5? What y'all think?
you must have your info mixed up

tremac is a great company, T-5s suck *****

i hear the A-5's (T-5's rebuilt by a company called astro) are pretty good

but if your looking for any power, get a TKO

Well it was a while ago when i was doing just a search on the internet. Could be mistaken but i think it pulled up a form from here. They said tremec wouldn't stand behind there product and it shifted like crap.

What do you mean "stiffly?" Honestly that could be a good thing. Is it more of a solid feel or hard to get into gears?
