someone please help me ive asked a billion people and i get different answer evertime. i want to buy a new intake manifold but my car is speed density. would it cause problems....

No it won't, as long you go with a close to stock type manifold, like trick flow, gt40, or edlebrock performer.Problems come with changing the intake manifold vacume. A cam change is the most notable cause of problems (you can buy aftermarket speed density cams), so can alot of aftermarket heads.</P>
Speed density uses a MAP sensor to measure intake manifold pressure to calculate the load on the engine, then using the engine rpms and o2 sensors it adds fuel. Of course any change in maniflold vaccum (without cpu tuning) will fool the computer into giving the wrong mixture. Even an intake manifold will change vacuum a little bit, but your cpu can compensate (using o2 sensors) for that small amount. Just dont go crazy with a custom short runner sheet metal intake </P>
