Default Where does my coolant go.......?

- After every 400-600miles or maybe every 200miles my coolant light comes on = reservoir empty.
- underneath the car are multiple coolant spots (small the size of marbles or slightly larger)
- steam comes from the engine on the heater core side.
- I did clean up coolant puddles in the crevice/crater of the lower intake, near the water neck.

Note: I installed a crate motor, along with a new heater core, right gaskets,
-------Mechanic tested it for vaccum leaks, fuel, etc....he said everything was fine, but that was BEFORE he replaced my lower intake gasket = bc 50resto.com accidentally sold me the wrong one.

I didnt' replace the radiator or hoses - hoses had 2,000miles on them

WHERE"S THE LEAK???? - REPLACE RADIATOR AND HOSES???

and if steam is coming from the heater core side behind the engine, its prob dripping coolant from the heat core hoses.... rev teh engine while under the hood and see if it drip at all...

go back to your mechanic and have him run a cooling system pressure test that will force the coolant out of where ever its leaking and then you fix it from there

Don't replace anything yet. Locate the leak.

Check the weep holes in the water pump.

Almost garuanteed its the timing chain cover theres two holes that you have to put silicone around and a gasket or it will leak. Mine has been leaking there for a while and i just ignore it.
