wiring diagram v8 conversion
i own a 98 mustang, and i was going through the wiring diagram so setup a remote starter (which i wont do due to it being a manual....)... but.....
i realized that the entire engine control system diagram for the v6 is totally different from the 5.0...
how do people simply install a v8 in a v6 with the wiring differences... do they just replce the ecu, and what doesn't work... doesnt' work...??

RE: wiring diagram v8 conversion
Assuming you had a wrecked 95 GT to get your 302 from you would indeed have to swap virtually every wire and the PCM. And more, K-Member etc.
Aside from being impractical, it's illegal. Forget ever trying to get an emissions test. You would have installed an OBD I system into a OBD II car.
It would be easier to convert to a carbed engine and disable the electronics but then you would have a totally hacked up car that you can't sell.
