Default little bit blue smoke help

on my 84 gt stang i have a new motor needs an oil change im gonna clean my carb but i see a little bit of blue smoke when i start up then goes away i dont drive it yet but im gonna i jus start it up every week is it serious someone i talkd to said it could be leftover gas in the carb because behind my car the exhaust smells like gas and it is running rich

.,? It's hard to read with out these. Blue smoke at start up usually means vavle guides are wearing. Will it stop after a few minutes? I think if the rings are going bad it would smoke all the time. Could be something as simple as a clogged pcv also.

Blue smoke is not gas, its oil. Sounds to me like leaking valve seals...
