Default Hey need some help

I have a problem with order, I have the money ready, and the car ready. I have a 89 completely stock 5.0. Now I want a semi-serious car. I set a goal of 400hp, all motor. I dont want a turbo or supercharger. So where do I go first... Details please.
I know the basics intake and exhaust, focus on more air/ more fuel. But for my goal of 400hp what are the ideal parts to start with? Im going to do a 3.73 rear and for that amount of hp I set up should I do a 5 lug conversion?

for 400hp, your going to need everything you can get for that engine.

the best heads, cam, stroke & bore kit, intake, exhaust, etc that you can get i would imagine to hit 400hp n/a

MODIFICATIONS SO FAR professional products typhoon intake, 70mm bbk throttle body, and spacer, stock mass air sensor, bbk cold air intake, stock headers, BBK offroad (no cat's) H pipe, midpipe back flowmasters, light weight pulleys, 3point strut bar on towers and firewall, cobra heads (or valve covers? not confermed yet) chrome EVERYTHING under the hood (including thouse expsive radiator hoses) aftermarket aluminum radiator, aluminum drive shaft(not confermed yet), shift kit, and "internal work" said this one shop that clamed they did $2000 in work to the AOD tranny. weld racing drag light weight wheels, bf goodrich radial t/a's rubber. and im sure im forgetting a few things

no clue what the power is, gonna dyno it pretty soon, but im waiting for a few more mod's before i dyno, still have bbk headers, c&l 73mm mass air meter, syenthetic oil, and a few others.

im at 5000+ft elevation, so im not getting my hope's to high for my numbers. hahaha

Yea lots of expensive chrome... hurting my eyes lol. So are you still running stock injectors and a 4 lug? Reason Im asking is I was going to do full intake down tolower plenum. With a 70mm throttle body, although in doing that will I need bigger injectors?

well at my elevation, i need as much air as i can get.
so i think all the intake stuff i have does fine with the stock injectors considering my 5300-5500ft elevation!

i dont know if i have stock injectors though, thats one of the things i have to figure out before i dyno.

the only thing ive done to the car sence i got it was the off road h pipe, and when i bought it, no one told me anything about the car, i dont think the dealership knew what they had, becase some old 78yr old man payed for the rebuild on the engine and tranny, and only drove the car 4k miles over 2yrs..... and when he traded the car in, told nothing of whats done to the car!
i had to call him, just to find out he payed to have the engine rebuilt, with the tranny.

and i just happend to go to the right performance shop, that did the tranny, who told me they did $2000 in work just to the tranny alone.

so its been a crazy deal! haha.

yes, still have the 4lug.

i got the car for 5100, and only plaining on mild mod's for awhile.

If your going with just a intake and tb swap then theres no need for bigger injectors, also I think your going to have a very hard time getting to 400 horse n/a unless you run a 347 with a nice HCI and full boltons
