lol true true.

I put AFR 165s on my Cobra, My dad has a new set of TFTW in box. We compared the heads side by side, the Trickflows may look a lil better on the outside but when you compare the intake/exhaust ports the TFTW didn't even come close.

Yep, and the ports are what the air sees. The air could care less how shiny they are

I try to tell people this...

A FULL CNC makes for a great product. No added cost. AFR is what it is.

No added cost because there is no option to leave it off. You'll still pay ~20% more than the cast TW to get almost identical cross section. I guesssome peoplewould rather use the broader spectrum of TW heads as advertisement against them.

As a sponsor on this site is I am here to talk about my products and inform potential customers of the products we offer. As far as arguing with AFR goes, we are not high school rivalries. We have a good working relationship with the gentlem
en at AFR.

I got $1290 off of Summit Racing for the basic 170cc TFS-51400004.

I got $1410 off of Jegs for the AFR 185cc.

The math works out the be 7%-8%, not 20%.

Not a bad increase for a FULL CNC head (Ports and combustion chamber), and now 8mm valves (lighter) and a 1.290" valve spring.

Atleast get the figures right, before you bash

You can buy the Trickflow 185ccheads, they are $1,855.

I used TFS-5140002 @ $1199. That's 17.5% and I said ~20%. Don't worry though, I didn't expect you to be familiar with the TFS side.

You don't think the TW 170cc is a fair comparision to the AFR 185cc? Let's compare it the 165cc then. The TW is cheaper andhas more flow, more cross section, miles upon miles more potential. If someone was looking for a 185cc head, the TW at 185cc kills the AFR for the extra $400.

I like how you keep preaching about those valves and springs. When did those become standard for AFR? Was the AFR just run-of-the-mill prior to these upgrades?

The fact is at all differentlevels the Twisted Wedge can be ordered, it can compete with ALL the FULL CNC AFRs. That's just a single casting Trick Flow offers.Bringthe TFS S/H into the mix and AFR gets their feelings hurt.
