ok just need some input here..the guy at ford performance toldme if i ran an x303 cam in my 306 ( pistons fly cut) with the performer 5.0 heads im pickin up ill make nice power im currently running the b303 cam...i want to get a custom camshaft from camshaft innovations but i can get a new x cam from my buddy for 50$..will i haveany ptv clearence problems.. just need any input possible thanks alot

ahh thanks lol the ford guy just told me pretty much do the clay test just to be on safe side..ill be running performer 5.0's with `.90 intake 1.60 exhaust valves

no such tning as a .90 intake valve, but I would clay check with those heads, only takes 10 mins.

do one cyl, bolt a head down with an old headgasket, adjust the valve lash and turn the motor over and see where if any you need to notch.Do one cylinder only and use it as a reff for the others

Do not go DEEPER that the factory notch at all.

why is everyone stuck on the ford letter cams....

you can get a much more efficient cam, that will make better power, just as easily

i ment 1.90 but i hit ` instead of 1 lol oh and adder its 50 bucks from a buddy and its only temporary untill i get a custom cam!!!!!

Hey 89....if your going through the trouble of doing a cam swap just wait to do the cam that your going to be using with final combo.....you dont want to be in the Xcam for "now" way to much work....only way I say go with the X is if your going to leave it like that for good....
