Default AOD HELP PLEASE!

ok so today i was driving home from Myrtle Point to Roseburg bout a 60 mile drive well anyway i started driving as normal and i got to about 55 mph and i put in OD and all it does is rev and wont go in to gear so i put in back in D and it hestitates to go in gear but it will stay in gear but everytime i put it in OD wont go into gear????!!? so i got home and noticed the tranny fluid was really low so i put some in to it all the way to the "line" and still same story help please!!

Sounds to me like the overdrive in your trans is shot. Not uncommon. I had a '90 T'bird Supercoupe that my wife drove. OD went out on it. Exact symptoms you describe.

DEFINETLY DONT DO IT IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!! Expect about 1500 for a basic rebuild. But while your at it, installa shift kit and a stall to wake it up.

lol i hadn't planned on doing it i'm calling this rebuild place at 1:30 cuz thats when my lunch is {at work ! }
so hopefully they can give me the full diagnosis thanks guys! -phil

This aint the end of this story.

Have them use a Kevlar OD Band, and red clutches. I dont care if you have to buy the parts and have them install with no warranty.

You dont want to ever go through this again for a very long time.(10 years+).
