yea use royal purple..thats whats in my gt, i could feel the difference right off the bat, it made shifting a little easier...nice and smooth

This says no, it is not supposed to be used in the T-5. I tried it because everyone on here said it was amazing, and it ended up screwing my synchros. 94gtcoupe told me it's because you have to flush the tranny with it first...so idk. I wouldn't risk it, it cost me $1000.

When I had my WC T-5 built at a shop they recommended gm syncromesh so thats what I run.

I need to change the fluid in my wife's 98 v6 sometime soon and will I will be gettin Royal Purple.

This may be a stupid question but I just purchased my 85 back in october and I haven't checked my fluid level. Were exactly is the the dip stick to add fluid being that its a manual I haven't found anything

There is no dipstick for the manual tranny. There is two plugs on the tranny. One up top and one at the bottom. You take the top one off and fill till it starts seeping out. It would probably be a good idea to drain the fluid and replace with new. You drain it by removing the lower plug. You will have to get under the car to do this.
