Default gas tank help????????

ok well my gas tank leaks and i got the gromit filler neck seal and i was wounderin how hard it is to be putin like what do i need to do it its my first time messing with the gas tank so tips would be apreciated thanks

open your gas door..undo filler neck.. make sure gas is low intank and there is a collar and a small bolt holding it to tank.. undo it and you should be able to remove filler neck and pop grommet out... make sure seal is not leaking due to rust formation behing the grommet buldging seal out.. mine did this and I ended up cleaning all rust and soldering pin holes up to reseal

no ..it's cake..just make sure the tank is near empty....crawl under there and look and see what... is bolted in place...... shouldn't take more than 20 min to remove

well the easiest way is to drop the tank.. but the straps aren't all that bad...just jack the car up high and use jack stands so you have plenty of room to work under there and lower tank on a jack
