Best way to Gut Factory Cats
on my 95 GT i havean X pipe with an slp exhaust. Even though I dont have to go for emssions, they wont pass my car because id dosnt have the converters. So i have a factory H with Cats.. I am just wondering how i can hollow them out. Ive been told just beat on them and it will break the insides up.. However that dosnt really seem to good of an idea. There are 2 converters closer to the front and 2 lowe down.. Can i stick like a giant pry bar in or something? Just hate to throw an H on and loose flow that the X has.. Eventualy i'll put the X back on, but its a pain to have to lay on the ground i nthe road and do this evertime i need inspection..

maybe with the h-pipe hollowed out you may not notice too big of a power loss and decide to keep it on! im a certified emission inspector and as long as the converters are there and "appear" to be functional its a go!

u have to get every little peice out or it will plug up ur mufflers. use a long peice of rebar and hammer. takes a while
