Car is hesitating and making popping noises
..what have you done to find prob/ replace??

It sounds like spark knock.
I know when I put a C&L MAF on my car, it threw my tune off and caused me to run lean. When I would take off fom a stop, it would fall on its face and make all kinds of crazy popping noises until I got to about 2000rpm. Anything above 2000 and it drove fine. I ended up taking it off and selling it and went back to my stock MAF. It runs like a champ now.

ragin, where is Oberlin? i live in the Bush/Covington area.
dirty maf, lean, rich, timing to retarded or advanced, not enough octane, dirty iat sensor, bad coil, tfi module, or dizzy, cap and rotor. im guessing the dizzy and tfi arent the problems, they norm dont allow car to start or run, at all or just kill at random, esp. when hot.

Okay so Far i have done a basic Tune Up
Fuel Filter (old one was FILTHY!)
Cap and Rotor (motorcraft)
Wires are FRPP 9mm but they are old and beat up... its getting worse and worse...
and yes after a certain rpm it seems to pull like normal but still does not feel 100%

Is your MAF installed straight up , not sideways AT ALL?
Clean your MAF element(the tiny spring ) with ELECTRICAL CONTACT CLEANER, naything else, its ruined(unless alcohol).
Make sure the spring is in a straight position, not bent or broken. It will be white, not black, when complete.
Also check the ground wire on the driver side head(Orange) for the HEGO(Oxygen Sensor), I see you had some work done, they like to break, or become so corroded, its useless.
