Default rear end build up

does anyone besides frpp make 3.08 gears? can these gears handle over 600 hp? i don'twant them to be the weak link in my setup, i have 31spline mosers with c clip eliminators and adetroit tru-track.

Ford Racing make's the best gears on the market IMO. I've installed a few sets and never had a problem unless it was an installer problem . But even then i take them out and adjust them and they are great. Just out of curiousity why are you going with the 3.08's.

not to bea$$ or anything...but ur wantin gears that are gonna hold up to 600 horse..and ur worried about gas prices?...just curious..

i know a place that got 3.08s take outs installed but never rode on. he had 150 of them couple of years back, with center housings only, he brought them from ford.

I don't think he knows the true meaning of 600hp..... probably one of those mild build up's that claim to have 400,000 hp......

Idon't have 600 hp now but there is good chance i will next season, my current set up is a blue printed and balanced 306 with afr 185's and a 150 shot. This is a street car, also im not a fan off tall gears i like my engine to wind up plus tall gears make distance driving miserable. The reason i asked is because theres gonna be a turbo in my futrure and when i do that i don't want to have to tear down my rearend and replace weak gears

I'm not worried about gas prices im just not a fan of wasting gas just because of tall gears I would rather waste gas going fast
