external to internal volage regulator HELP PLEASE
Hey guys i'm new to the forum and was hoping I could get some help i'm in the process of swapping the alternator on my 1985 T-Top 5.0 from external to internal voltage regulator and was wondering if any of you had done this befor I have a rough idea of how to do this but don't want to fry any good parts all help or advice is apriciated thanks in advance[sm=helpout.gif]

I'd love to have that alternator but im on a budget meaning im one broke mother I have the alternator and harness sitting in the garage thats the main reason I was going to internal regulator

Hook up the "S" from the voltage regulator harness to the "I" wire on the alt. Splice in the choke wire to the stator on the new alt as well. If you do the 3g, you have to grind the bottom of the alt bracket a little. Run some 6 guage cable from the alt to the batt or the solenoid. Just take out all the old wiring to clean up the bay.
