Default hp estimate?

i am building a 302 bored 30 over and was wondering if anyone that knew a little mmore about engines could help me with knowing if i have enough for what i want. so here it is:
306, hyper. pistons
comp 280 magnum cam 280/280, Lift .512/.512
edlebrock performer rpm intake
holley 600cfm electric choke carb
gt40p heads w/ upgraded vavle springs

270-ish

are the heads ported ? work the exhaust, smooth the intakes, and comp valve job will do wonders to those heads. and should push you to 300

no the heads aren't ported. is that 270 to the flywheel i'm guessing? and it has a 2.5" exhaust andheaders.

how much more if i stroked it to 347? or would that be worse on gas than getting aluminum heads

Its all about flow and compression to make power. The more air you get into the cylinder and the harder you smash it the more power your gonna have. You have a good cam in there but with the gt40p heads and the stock compressionpistons your gonna have like 9.5to 1 compression. Going 347 will make more power but those heads are going to hold it back.

ur lookin at prob 255-265 horse with that set up, are ur heads ported??

if you want a 347 it needs the proper heads and intake and cam.. your current combo is made up of 302 parts and will produce 302 power
