RE: I HATE EMISSIONS
You say it has a cat back. Are there any cats? you make it sound like you don't. If so, then you should pass emissions. I always run a little (emphasis on little) amount of acetone in the gas, also high octane fillup. Acetone will help to lower hydrocarbons during combustion. Yes, you can weld cats onto your pipe. Also, where are your O2 sensors tapped in? I always check placement of everything before I weld or fabricate anything out of the vehicle.

RE: I HATE EMISSIONS
those are all good questions..and i no it is a offroad h, but i do not think i have cats casue the guy i bought it from said it wont pass...but ill give it a whirl, ill fill it with 93 and add some stuff in the gas, do you know if it is hard to weld cats on? and as the for the 02 sensors i no i have em i believe they are on the headers...

RE: I HATE EMISSIONS
I live in CT. and my 93GT passed with a Pypes catted x, BBK shorties and Pypes cat-back. But that was last summer, I'm about to start my H.C.I and hopefully it will pass when it is up again (every 2yrs. in CT.) If you do get cats, make sure to get them good and hot before you bring it to emissions.

As far as answering your question about welding cats into your present mid-pipe, again, depends on the requirements of your area. I have a off road mid pipe with added on cats on my '93. Fills the requirements for my area.
