My strut bolts sucked too. I heated the nut a little and used a breaker bar with a cheater barand got them loose. The heat makes thenut expand and loosen up a little.

Looks good so far...keep the updates comming.

She's out. Really get an appreciation for how much weight it drops when you drag the stocker out
and compare them.

Reinstall looks simple. The driver side bolt holes line everything up square and then
the other holes are little oblong to fit whereever the driverside lines them up.

I did a lot of research on k-members. here's what I found.

1. AJE - can reuse stock a-arms and springs. has universal motor mounts for engine swaps (SBC, Mod, LS1)
2. MM - requires full coilover conversion --- best of the best
3. TeamZ - VERY good and best price - requires coilover conversion but will reuse stock a-arms
3. QA1 - can reuse stock a-arms and springs but is pain to install
4. DnD - junk

AJE seems to be as strong as most of the others and have excellent customer service.
TeamZ is cheapest and highly regarded also with strong customer service
MM is the shiznit but you pay for it too.

QA1 says you can reuse stock A-arms, but supposedly it takes a lot of grinding to make em work.

DnD is really only one I heard just not to get.

If I was going to do a full coilover conversion with the swap
I would either get the MM or TeamZ

with QA1 if you go with their a arms, do you have to switch to coil overs or can you stick with regular struts and springs

It's in.
Sure was fun getting it up and bolted in by myself[&:]

Instruction say to just get all the bolts in and then tighten them
There is about 1/8th inch of slop on where the k-member can go with them loose

Does it not matter? Will alingment take care of any slight off center adjustment ?

AJE was the most expensive piece I found when shopping. I wouldn't put the D&D rig down to badly. Mjr46 has that one on his car and he likes it. It seemed pretty nice to me when I looked at his.

Ryan, there stuff is not very good from what I've read. I did a lot of research and some one was kind enough to post up some threads about it. If I can find them, I'll let you know. I was considering buying theirs. You can get everything for 5 or 6 hundred bux. But I decides against it after reading up on them.
