how do i do the jumper test because i could never get it to work when i tired it off the car..

just put one side of the cable to the battery..turn key to on position and touch the jumper cable to the starter side of the selonoid

can i put the jumper cable on the starter and then hook it to the battery or the selonoid???? it is the same thign and that check to see if my wire to my starter is too small

yeah that should work as long as the starter is bolted to the block...cause it'll need to use the block as a ground through the case...if the neg cable from the battery goes down and bolts to the block your fine but if you bolted it to the body that may be a prob cause there needs to be a ground wire then from the block to the frame/body if you don't have one..but if your neg cable already goes to the block your fine

ok now for the alt. what wires go were?? Can i just take a wire from alt to battery for charging system

depends on what type of alt you are using??/ internal voltage reg or external??
