need my car to sound better

i just bought a mac exhaust for my 89 gt, but it still doesnt sound loud or meaner as i want it to... Could someone tell me what to buy or do to make it sound better

Offroad midpipe makes all the difference.

If you still have cats then try a strait through system like the SLP "loud mouth". Flowmasters will be an improvement too.

MAC is louder than Flowmaster

barely, only difference i noticed between flows with tips and dumped macs was tone, they sounded difference

Try a MAC prochamber instead of and H or X pipe (if you don't have to run cat's). And my MAC mufflers were noticably loader than my old Flow Master 40 series (Amercan Thunder) mufflers.
