I just bought a 88 stang 5.0, ive got 3" exhaust , ofroad h-pipe, edelbrock 70mm masss air, cold air intake, drag radials and skinnies, oh yeah, the aluminum racing pullies too but not sure what kind, does anyone have any guesses on h.p. or et times, i dont have it insured so i cant take it to the track yet, oh yeah, dont laugh but its automatic, dont worry 5 speed comin soon<IMG src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">
WoW, 3" exhaust, you sure its that big? As far as hp, maybe 230 hp. Oh, you can trailer it to the track, you don't need insurance there, even if you had it I don't think they're gonna cover you , or even want to insure you after!</P>
225 hp is stock back in 88'. it starts to loose compression after a while. as for cams, wait till you get a better set of heads before you think of what kind of cam!!!!! i have an e303, but i also run w/ windser jr. push dart stage 3 heads, ported and polished.
i know, but after 15 years of being driven, it starts to loose it's compression. these are awsome project cars, you just have to be patient, and rebuild it!!!
