Default Cracked Intake Flange help

Hey i bought a gt40 uppper and lower intake and when i was tightening the bolts and the front mount cracked and i think its creating a bad vacuum leak, is it repairable? and would this cause the car not to idle properley? also is it repairable or do i have to get a new one

you might be able to get it fixed, otherwise you can buy just lower intakes on ebay but they seem to normally cost the same as a whole new intake manifold would cost

If it's not too bad you could always try to JB Weld it. You'd be surprised what you can get away with using that stuff. Got any pictures?

Get it welded back together, then have the gasket surface resurfaced.

I had to do that a few years ago when my Cobra upper failed

well either the surface is warped...so have it checked or you didn't follow the proper torque sequence...but irregardless I'd find someone who has a tig welder...any welding shop should be able to fix it for you.....when I worked at the college I went to the welding shop /fabricator welded new surface area to my then stock corroded intake ports then I filed them down......it worked and sealed great
