I felt 5400rpm felt pretty good but at the track I tried lowering the shift points 200rpm. With 3.73's and long tubes, I went from 14.0 @100 to 13.6@102 shifting at 4800rpm.
the best thing to do is to see when a dyno day is at your local speed shop is. slap it on the dyno for around 20 bucks and see where it stops making power

And then make your shift points about 400 rpm past that.
