Drivability problems with E303 cam?
I'm hoping to get my car running better this year but it has an e303 cam which is known to be fussy. Anyonehaving any luck withthis cam?I have heard of people trying the idle adjustment plate,or drilling a 1/8" hole in the throttle body butterfly. First I am going to check the fuel pressure, throttle position sensor, vacuum leaks, etc. Here is a link I found interesting. http://www.fordmuscle.com/forums/lat...-e303-cam.html

I haveit as well and it's actually a rather mild stick. First cold start of the day should be a bit rough...I usually hold it at about 1200 for a few minutes and then it purrs all day with no problem at all. You likely have something else that's out of whack....MAF issue, Baro sensor issue, vac leak - something of that nature.

There are other components/mis-calibrations that could be causing the problem...... valve train, vacuum leaks, faulty sensors, fuel pressure, etc. Don't blame the cam, I have set E, B, X, Stg 1 setups w/out problems.
