The only experience I have had with one was a long time ago with one of the first gen ones. I'm sure they have been improved since then but even back then when I played with it the thing was surpisingly more accurate than I expected. I think it was a bit on the fast side such as it would say your 1/4 time is 13.95 what would probably actually be more like a 14.1 but for a little electronic device using physics to figure that out its not bad. Something fun to play with but I wouldn't rely on it for any hard numbers. Also keep in mind if somebody has used one of the new ones I would go with them i'm giving my feedback from around when they first came out.

+1

my buddy used it a lot, also compared it at the track to his et slips

what it showed was that is was extremely accurate in the terms of consistency...but also over read consistently.

i wanna say it was a couple tenths fast, and the same mph....but all the time to the thousandths. so once you guage it , your good and just know how far off it is to compensate

If the Gtech is showing a quicker et. It's because it starts measuring time the instant the car moves. The track clocks will NOT start measuring time the instant it moves. It starts when the front tire has left the beam. This can be12-18 inches later, a bigger tire equals longer.

If the times don't match, that's not important for tuning. As long as the error is consistant.
