well ive looked into tires, and i cant tell whats what, lol.


my current tire is a 235/60/15.... im about 99% sure the rim is 15x8

id like wider, looks like with my rims i could go 255/60/15, and that would max out the rim....


so what do you recomend?

car is not daily driven, but the tire needs to be able to be on the highway for a while (15+miles at a time)
only way car would get driven in the rain is if i took it to work, and the rain was a total surprize, as i drive my pickup if the wheather is over 40% chance of rain or snow

i cant tell what micky thompson is what, theres 2 differenct street tires, and im not sure the difference.

lol, yea, but once again that leads me back to the tires.

$500-800 in NOWWWZ isent worth jack if i hit it in second gear and it just smokes the tires
(considering just the shift kit will bark the tires most the time at 4500rpm and every time at 5000-5500rpm)


plus its a never ending expence, always having to refill, with NOWWWZZ being illegal here (ive heard) it wouldent be easy to find a refill ether

I watched a local race of an STI KILLING a Z06, the main reason was a 2 stage rev limiter. Set it to what the highest rev you can launch at without spinning and you will have consistent launches...good tires are needed too. So my suggestion is good tires and a 2 stage limiter. Kinda hard to launch on AWD without them.

if you knew 5.0's, you would know that 90% of the power "problem" are the stock heads.

even the cheapest GT40 heads will gain 25-40hp depending on mod's and tune


big whoop i have a **** load of blot ons, that doesnet mean JACK if you dont have the heads man, i know that, thats why im doing trick flow twisted wedge heads in late august! i should gain atleast 40-50hp with a tune from them (maybe more becase i have all of the supporting mod's already)

dont give up on 5.0's that fast, youll regret it.

I was thinking of doing heads, but I would hate to throw 2K into it to have some jack *** hit me and total my car out...and then get a check from Insurane for 2K for a car I invested 4K plus in. I had a 2001GT which was totaled, I hated the $200 a month payment, but I swear I pay equal or more moding and fixing my 5.0 per month.

mickey thompson et streets, they have the 2 lines going down the middle. i have the 255/50/16's, tall tire like you want. 331 h/c/i auto (small stall, like 2500-3k, should be a 3800 but damn cheap *** tranny shop...get a edge or PI converter!) 3.27's and i dont spin off the line, i dont have a tune so im at a loss of some hp.

if you didnt have the 4.10's i would say turbo.
