Default My stang is retarted... (problems)

Well i have a Auto 94 gt... 134,xxx miles or so. The problem is my car just starts slipping out of OD like crazy out of nowhere. It can happen like only twice a week. Sometimes it goes into OD and shifts into 3rd and sometimes into neutral then the third.. I dont know whats going on with that. I dont know if i need my tranny flushed or not.
Well there is one more thing. I few mins ago, before I came in my car just died when i put it in reverse.. It did it like 2 times, and then the 3rd time it didnt die...? wats up with that? I have already done all my tune up's and everything. And i checked timing and i have checked my tps.

Do the 94's have AOD or AODE??? Try running some Lucas Oil Stablizer and see if that helps any.

94 has an aode...an you should start by running a koer test and scan for any tranny codes.....if none exist.. the overdrive band may be starting to fail = time for a rebuild[:@]

Yup rebuild is in order for ya. Might as well get a stall converter, shift kit, etc. But like I said try some Lucas and see if that helps for a little while till you get the chance to rebuild it.

ok thanks for the info guys. I cant remember the last time it was changed. I asked a buddy of mines with a aode he said when his car starting doing that he replaces the "MLP" rang selector.. and it stopped. Could that also be the problem?
