Default block question.

Just bought a 93 mustang with an motor from another car and the block is a Mexican block. Now can someone explain to me what that means and what the differences between that and another or even that and an stock block. Thanks.. edited.... like are they better? are they worse or are they really good for something? Is it different in anyway balance or anything?
