it cranked once when he got it to his place the battery died and now we put a new battery in and it wont even click on or anything the fuel pump turns on so fuel is getting in and im sure its getting spark and we didnt mess with anything i just went over with a battery and tried to help him start it and i had like 5 minutes to look at it but everything is still the same as when it cranked b4

anyway.. you'll need a test light.....when holding car in crank position you'll need to check for current on the wire that goes down to the starter... and check for current on the positive batt cable to selonoid and then clip test light on pos cable and check grounds and then touch test light to starter case and see if it is grounded properly.....also in the crank position check for current that goes out to selonoid from ign switch..it;ll be the small wire on the selonoid= should have current on it in crank to trigger relay bridging power from batt side to starter wire

if the car won't crank... it's not a module also you need to make sure if car was an AOD/. automatic car that the linkage or where ever the PRNDL switch is now..if it's not plugged into the tranny that connector needs to be plugged in cause it allows car to start in park or nuetral only..otherwise it'll be like trying to start a 5 speed mustang without pushing clutch in= won't do nothing..... if the connector for the prndl switch is just hanging there.. you'll need a wiring diagram to identify proper wires to bridge/ jump allowing car to crank again
