Its me again so after all those parts i changed i noticed last night, while i was drinking my beer staring in awe at my engine one of my spark plugs boots was darker than the others...pulled the plug oonly to notice oil all over it ...also there is oil splatter marks on the header right under it .....also the engine is stil lticking from right there remember i changed oil pump and shaft header gaskets ...etc .etc .etc

would replaced the heads solve these problems? And can i replace just the heads

The oil is probably a valve cover leak. TAKE THE VALVE COVERS OFF AND SEE WHAT YOU FIND. Sorry for the caps but i know that has been suggested several times. Is the oil on the electrode itself or just on outside of plug.

damn dude harsh lol no i popped the valve covers off two days, should have told you everything looked good...going to re check today look at springs and adjust rockers do you think its the head gasket ..would that cause ticking or would the faulty spark plug...

The ticking is probably an exhaust leak.

if oil is on outside of plug then its the valve cover gasket.
if oil is on electrode part of plug then you have an interal oil leak by valve seals, rings or intake gasket.

He's been told about exhaust leaks already. I'm assuming you did tighten everything down?

yes of course i even installed new gaskets as well as collectors
i dont know.....im just going to get new valve cover gaskets as well as new plugs and wires

After you do that if you still have a ticking sound it could be an injector if i havnt already mentioned that before. A vid would be awesome.

iv etried to make a video but due to the loudness of my engine you cant hear the tick...ill try again it sounds just like a sprinkler (with out the little bit of air sound) and how would i check the injectors

With a long bar, extension, pole, pipe etc etc etc, wooded ruler.

Just listen to it and compare it to the rest of the injectors by physcially putting it on the injector.


For exhaust leaks, while the engine is cold, start it up and run water over the headers, look for LARGE bubbles, it will be very obvious, or you can add die to your fuel and after a few miles use a UV light(very effective) around the headers.


Remember when you lost oil pressure, I told you about how a lifter or more that has a failing bearing, will send fine metal particles throughout the oiling system and seize the pump.

Also the bearing pieces will be found at the bottom of the oil pan alot of times.


Dont be scared to pull the roller lifters back out and you will definetly know which one(s) is the bad one. Dont feer the car, make it feer you, your the owner
