Default another clutch question

Hey,
ok guys have a bit of a problem, got a big tune up on my 87 GT
put new cable in the other one was hard to use and was rusty

the new was installed and my mecanic said the clutch was very hard

and was very low on the pedal.

I tried it and as soon as I released the pedal the car started to moove
Was like wtf clutch cant be shot only has about 7500miles on it

Rode it home and BOW cables brakes

I get another one put it and its still as stiff and now the clutch is so low
that when I change gears it grinds, So I parked the car until I figure out whats wrong

Now could this be the clutch?

If so on summit Ill be buying the KING COBRA kit but, only thing not included is the
Pilot bearing/bushing, other then that do I need anything more to get this installed and working?

Any help will be appreciated.

thanks
