it's the 1/4 pie shaped piece that the cable hoos to, and rides on when you press the pedal in

the stocker is plastic self adjusting garbage...it will break and smoke your clutch

after you get the whole cable/quadrant assy. you'll only ever have to replace the cable if you break or melt it

LOL......Just stay away from the hoosers

For the OP, check out this link....it may help you out:

or this one:

http://www.maximummotorsports.com/ Click on Installation Instructions, and then Clutch Quadrant.....

BTW....the Clutch Quadrant upgrade is a MUST!!

If the mechanic does not know how to do it.....I would not be paying him for it

It is really not a hard job.......I did mine in about an hour, and I am no professional......The hardest part is getting the old one off....the new one gets on there very easy.....

I went with the UPR, with the Firewall Adjuster......Love the Quadrant and Firewall Adjuster....but the cable was VERY tight (I put my stocker back on there). Is your stock cable broke??

It is not that that one is bad.......but believe it or not, the Stock cable is the best that you can get........(that is of course if it is not broken )

This is the one I went with :

http://www.uprproducts.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=181

It has a Firewall Adjuster.....that lets you adjust the cable tension without getting under the car.....Very NICE

But the cable was too tight.............so I reinstalled my stock cable

So many damn choices for cables. But none are tested and prooven I guest

So I putting a Ford OEM Cable looks like its the only thing that works and not complicated

if it brakes again
