RE: subframe connecting question
yes...same thing, do yourself a favor and get the the style like max motorsports where the seats bolt to the subframe connector as well...really nice
they have t-bracing on them for that

RE: subframe connecting question
Build 4 of these and put one under each tire. It let's the car sit like it's on the ground so you can weld in the subframes and gives you plenty of room. I built 8 so I can stack them for even more room under the car.

RE: subframe connecting question
How tall is each one?
How thick is each piece of wood? Are those ceiling joists?
I was gonna say that doing that job on jackstands seems REALLY sketchy.... I'd be careful and don't do it on a black-top driveway...

RE: subframe connecting question
what will you want the car to do? drag or turn left & right. what do you plan to do next? and after that?
if you are going to keep on making faster, spend the xtra $$ and get good rectangular ones now. MM or Steada are known to be good stuff.
if a torque arm is somewhere in the car's future, you will have to use rectangular.
research what it will take to go as fast as you are going to end up with. then buy the stuff that will work with that setup. saves $$ and xtra work down the road.
