I found a possible cause of my vibration...need help.
I am having a vibration in my shifter that I could not find. I put my car on stands, in 1st just letting it "roll". I took the clutch cable cover off the tranny and noticed my pressure plate does the "wave" right where the splines meet the pressure plate case. I will take it out and talk to Brenspeed about this, but is it posible it is anything else bent like the input shaft or the flywheel is warped. The Flywheel is new and so is the Spec unit. i am also worried a new pressure plate will do the same, should I just have mine neutrally balanced instead of contacting brenspeed?

It is more noticeable in the 3500+ rpms if you rev it quickly or in the low rpms when it comes down from a rev, in gear or not. If I rev it slow you can feel it as early as 2k rpms. I think it is my input shaft cause my tranny wouldn't go back on as easily as it came off. I had to use the bellhousing to tranny (the 4) bolts get it seated. It wouldn't go on any other way. I was told that vibrations from a bad driveshaft can kill a t5 quickly or bend something internally. Well the young lady I bought the car from drove around on bad U joints for god knows how long. I think that may have killed the input shaft. I was concerned about the pressure plate cause I didn't think the edge where the spline connected was uneven when I installed it...may have been we'll find out.
Anybody have pics of there Spec stg 2 pressure plate? A side pic maybe?

if you jammed the tranny in place you may have damaged the pilot bearing..I usually seperate the bellhousing from the tranny when installing a clutch and install bellhousing and clutch then slide tranny up in place slowly aligning tb retainer with tb and with in gear and a yoke piece from old drive shaft slowly wiggle it in until seated... I assume this vibration you now have wasn't present before replacement?? if you did replacement trying to correct vibration .....probably not issue and I'd look for a spun harmonic balancer maybe

I had the vibe before and I replaced everything (balancer, all mounts, driveshaft rebalanced, new u joints). It could be the pilot bearing, but the shaking before was the u joints. I am going to rip it apart and examine a little further, but I need to get my financials in order.
I did seperate the tranny from the housing it is way easier that way.
