yea i have cats on my exhaust lines what should i do gut out the catalytic take out evrything their is in their?

yeah just cut it open gut it out and weld it back togerther, the easier thing would be to buy an off road h or x pipe, their nor real expensive and realitivley easy to bolt on, i have a mac off road h pipe and i love it!

ill see if gutting out the cat and doing a check engine diagnostics will come out cheaper then buying a x-pipe at a shop if it doesnt then im getting the x-pipe ebay is selling it for 130. i saw for my car so we will see ill have it posted up as soon as i get it done

if you think the cats are plugged loosen exhaust at header flange and create a leak and go for a test drive ..if power is restored there is your answer..and no I don't think it's a torque convertor issue...by your description ..it sounds like a engine performance issue

So did you check the timing at all?? Could be running wayy rich. mine did the exact same thing. a complete tune up including the timing was done and now she is a champ....fully warmed up anyways.

When you said it sounds like it wants to go but doesn't. Does it sound like your holding the brake and gas at the same time or does the engine rev up and then start going?

Yeah i have a pluged(bad ) cat right now,and it wont hit the power band like it should.I usually run off road H-pipes but i had to pass the wonderfulCalifornia smog Last friday so i putted to the smog shop,passed smog,and putted back....

when i step on the gas u hear the engine rev all the way and the rpms climb but the engine doesnt go it just cruises it doesnt hall *** like its suppose to what do u think it can be?

Is this from a dead stop when you step on the gas or at what speed. It's a automatic but have you tried taking off from any other gear than "D"?

I think you should if take a video of the speedometer if at all possible.... I mean that way we can see how serious the issue is... but thats me...
