Default Bosch 02 sensor for my 66

I bought this AFR setup for tuning my 66 289 carbed engine with long tube headers and true dual exhaust with h-pipe. http://www.plxdevices.com/M-Series_productinfo.htm My brother has a 88 GT and has this exact same setup. So all I had to do is buy the Bosch sensor and a bung. I'm wondering where I should weld in that sensor. Should it be in one of the collectors on my headers or in the h-pipe? The reason I post here is because the classic guys are clueless when it comes to this stuff. Thanks!

Does it matter what side? I know I have a leaky header gasket on the pass side but the driver side is good. And what is the reason for putting it in the collector compared to the h pipe?

the sensors should be as close as possible ive been told, thats y with longtubes they are kept on the header instead of the midpipe

Thanks. How about drilling the hole? Does it need to be at a certain angle or anything? How do I cleanup the metal shavings inside the collector afterwards so they don't clog the mufflers?

FYI.....

Check the info at http://www.performancetrends.com/wide_band_uego.htm ....and suggest to correct the exhaust leak + use the passenger side (bank 1).

I love the pain of working on my baby. Sure there are times when it seems like it's not worth it, but ultimately it is worth every penny. I love the looks and comments that my car gets from strangers and friends. It's sooo easy to fix or replace almost everything on this car. That's one of the many reasons I fell in love with them.

The main reason I am doing this is because of my brother who is pretty damn smart when it comes to tuning and 5.0's. So I figured if he already had the display box all I have to do is buy the sensor and we can swap between cars. I also think I will be able to get a better tune with this sensor than by manually tuning the carb. I guess I will find out soon.

yeah fix the exhaust leak before installing the sensors or the leak will skew readings
