I also agree, a 5 speed is more fun. Whether its on the strip or track, I'd prefer a 5 speed.

Either one can be fast. Off the showroom floor, 5 speed is faster. I'd get bored with it if I had to let the car do everything. I think racing should be about the skill of the driver too, not just the car. And yeah, stick is more fun, sounds better, and looks cooler to drive. :P

thats a relative statement

if you mean that an AOD equipped the same as a t5 car will be faster your 300% wrong, it will be a full second slower at MINIMIUM, thats 10 car lengths in the 1/4 mile

if your simply saying that an auto (notice i didnt specify AOD) will shift faster...i'll buy that

but the AOD is horribly geared (2.40 1st V 3.35 in a t5)
heavy
and power robbing

my fastest AOD car was over a second slower than my slowest t5 car

that my friend...you CANNOT argue anywhere.

congrats on the swap...you'll swear you added 100 ponies under the hood

Use this tutorial. It is great, I used it last summer to do mine and it was perfect to the T!

While were talking about autos just remember a stalled auto (higher than 3K) fully built will out do a T5 anyday. Yes stick is more fun but I have been driving stick for 11 years and wanted a change so I plan to build up my AOD.
