Default clutch pedal slow coming up

The clutch pedal in my 95 GT is slow returning to the engaged or "up" position ,the clutch isn't slipping and doesn't have a problem engaging/disengaging .I tried the adjustment procedure described in owners manual but that had no effect on it .

No noise, slipping,or any other difficulty? Also how far off the floor does the clutch engage?

There are no new or unusual noises and the clutch engages a couple inches off floor like it always has ,car drives and shifts fine but I have to pull the clutch pedal up the last couple inches manually .I can't get anybody to look at it until the first of the week but I thought I would get an idea of what to expect beforehand and also to avoid being "taken".

thanks for the reply

Could be the clutch return spring. Get under the dash and take a look at the pedals pivot point. There should be a spring there with a retainer. Replace the spring.
