Does that mean I need a new crush sleeve only or what will I need to have this issue resolved if it is the problem.
Assuming that's your problem. You could possibly hit the pinion bolt with a impact wrench if it has come loose. How long ago was the gear install? If it's been awhile the collar has probably been crushed. It could be possible though that the nut just needs to be tighten. On my last gear install i had the same problems you are having. I hit it with the impact wrench to crush the sleeve all the way then i tightened with a wrench untill i felt comfortable with the drag, checked my pattern and all was good. I think the bolt is 1 1/16 or 1 1/8.

You need to take it back to him and tellhim thepinion lash is not right and tell him why. He may not have shimmed the carrier right. Usually you can re-use the same shims if you keep track of what side they went on. Take it back tohim. At a minimum the gears will failprematurely if not set right. If you are launching at 5500 rpm (like i do) to quote pinks, youcould have "Catastrophic Failure"

I am the one that needs some super slow cars to go up against, your car would walk all over mine, man I need some major mods.
