Hello to all, its bin' a while since I've been on, but it's been a cold, dark winter lol.... Here's my question. When I baught this motor it had AC, but no smog stuff. My car has no AC lines, so I decided to ditch it, and get a fresh belt'ski. The belt that was on there was 77", and when I took my measurments it was around (if not dead on) 60". Does 60" sound around the right size? Let me know if you are runningthe same shyt, and I'll be glad asChad can be. Thanx for the help!

that sounds short to me...i have no smog but ac on my car now...my '89 was ditched both and i just don't recall.

you did route the belt the OPPOSITE way around the crank w/ the smog pump gone right ? that will change your measurement

60-something might be right...but 60" seems too short (but that car was stolen in 2001 and i'm scatterbrained)

Thanx for the tips, and help guys. I used a peice of weed eatter string, and routed it like it was with the AC, but with no ac (if that makes sence...lol) with the idler pulled up about an inch'ski. I'll Take another look and see if maybe I took to many hoots while doing it lol. The numbers on the old belt are pretty worn off, but I'm 90% sure its 77". Thanx for the help BOB and MJR46!!!
